Our story begins where all great sensory stories begin, with a memory. The smell of incense in a Moroccan medina. Pine resin in a Scandinavian forest. Jasmine at an Indian wedding at dusk. These scents do not just smell beautiful. They transport you completely.
That power, the ability of a single fragrance to place you somewhere else entirely, is what we built The Candle Cove around. Every candle we send is an invitation to experience a new culture through the most intimate sense we have.
For us, it was kayaking to a local cove on the north shore of Long Island. Laying back, feeling the breeze, smelling the fresh sea air, floating in the rhythm of the waves and the absence of a watch.
Life does not always let us get back there. The water is far, the day is full, the week moves fast. But scent has a way of closing that distance.
